ATR was founded in 1977 and since then we have a publishing house. ATR have an agreement with the Swedish Union of Playwrights and the Nordic firms for theatrical rights - ATR acts as an intermediary in theatrical rights for all amateur theatre and schooltheatre in Sweden. ATR helps Swedish amateur-theatre to arrange contracts properly and we see to that the authors and the translators receive their money. Connected with this work, ATR have built up a library for manuscripts. The manuscripts have been supplied by playwrights and different companies.

ATR has one of Sweden’s biggest lending script libraries with about 5,400 titles. The ATR publishing house helps with advice on plays and makes performing rights available to all amateur theatre societies and schools in Sweden. Theatrical make-up: ATR sells theatrical make-up by mail order cheaply and promptly.
